Inside the Ring of Organic Marketing: How We Helped an Indian Boxer, Mandeep Jangra, Grow His Social Media in Record Time
When I was appointed as the celebrity manager cum freelance content writer of Indian boxer Mandeep Jangra, I was keen on helping him increase his online presence and grow his social media handles. My team and I had to act fast and move in the right direction, as it was a matter of building up his profile, and it was important that we did it right.
I took up the challenge of boosting his Instagram account, and I am proud to say that I achieved 100% follower growth (3000 followers) in a span of two months. This wasn’t through any shady tactics or buying followers, but through organic methods. I did this by evaluating his content, the kind of themes and topics he wanted to showcase, and creating effective content strategies.
To further increase Mandeep Jangra's presence in the boxing scene, we started a YouTube series of “Boxing Tips & Tricks,” which I took full responsibility for. This included taking care of the entire backend for the series - from video shooting, to editing the videos to finally publicizing them. This is something that aided in increasing his profile as a professional boxer as well as growing his followers and engagement with his fans.
In addition to our efforts on other social media platforms, I took it upon myself to create and manage Mandeep's Twitter account. Starting from scratch, I worked tirelessly to grow his followership on the platform, engaging with his fans and promoting his content. It was a rewarding experience to see the account grow to 400 followers, and I was thrilled to have been able to get his account verified. However, I recognize that the success of the account is ultimately due to Mandeep's talent and the support of his fans, and I am grateful to have played a small role in amplifying his voice on yet another platform.
It was a privilege to work with such a talented athlete, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to his journey in a small way.
